history is often not documented and thus most is lost over the years, but one singly stories is known even to most Ogres. The story of how once tried to cultivate the Ogres and how this failed. Ogres are mostly nomads, there tribes travel all over the lands around and in . At one point in history the Ogres encountered the Asgardian races by travelling to far from their birth place. The , more organized and centralized than the Ogres back then, captured several of the tribes that wandered to close and held them as prisoners. The Fae gave the stronger and leading ogres bracelets with magical power to hold them under their command. The and Fea wanted to help the ogres to become more civilized and less destructive and tried forcing this upon the Ogres with magic. The ogres saw this as a way of turning their races into slaves, however so the whole plan would eventually fail. After a few years the ogre society banded together with a large amounts of tribes because they where getting information about what happened to their brothers and sisters. A large Ogre army, lead by was formed, combining several tribes, and marched towards the "captured" Ogre tribes. This is known as the Berzerker Arm, and the campaign contains some of the greatest battles the Ogres have ever fought. Most of the Ogres, where freed during this campaign, also because the Fae never truly intended to capture the Ogres indefinitely. The Ogres, holding the grudge and now bolstered with additional numbers, started raiding the Fae and elves indiscriminately, first because the difference between Fae and Elves was not clear to them yet, and after that because the elves retaliated and because the ogres learned that the elves had a hand in constructing the braces (that the elves didn't knew what they where going to be used for was not known at the time, and is irrelevant in the eyes of most ogres anyway.) This war, that lasted for several years, is one of the main reasons for the hatred between Ogres and the races of Asgard.

Feyfolk love discussing history in legend, song and game but have little love for "real" history, or what lorekeepers would call "real" history. For the feyfolk, legends are as real as need to be.

Feyfolk have been living in wild natural shelters since they came into existence, but their technology has become more and more advanced over the last 1000 years. Because of their carefree nature most forms are not inclined to develop technologies themselves, but the elders of the race have been known to dabble in technology when there was time to spare and when a community grows large enough there are forms that have an expressed purpose to think about the expansion of the town and the race has forms that are specialized in documenting and assimilating technologies from the other races, mostly the gnomes.

do not have any central history. Two serious attempts have been made in history to create a slemmering kingdom. Both attempts have failed. The (active) slemmering are too rare and too dispersed to create a central society.

can be found all over Heimr. The usually live within the villages and cities the other races have created. Slemmering like to incorporate one of their indulgences into their jobs. In slemmering tend to run brothels and shady bars. Other Slemmering invest in certain businesses, trance sleep for a while and see what their money has become.

One of the things they all have in common is that they never forget who wronged them. Revenge is a strong motivation for a slemmering to get up and actually do something other than take good care of his own indulgence. However, most slemmering don't feel the need to indulge themselves in the revenge and sometimes "trade" their grudges. Slemmering don't like to travel and thus if some other revenge can be executed closer, but on somebody else, the slemmering is happy to give his revenge away to some slemmering who feels the same way. Sometimes rituals are used to exchange the actual anger and thus emotional need to perform the revenge. In some area's actual "revenge fairs" or "grudge fairs" are held at secluded places on a regular basis to facilitate this. It isn't rare for slemmering to mate and feast during these fairs... they are together now anyway.

Cultural appearance

Not wishing to be mistaken for the fast living, hasty and in their eyes "lesser" race of humans, some slemmering have taken it upon themselves to chance the appearance of their race. Some slemmering societies choose to permanently mark their members in some way to distinguish themselves from humans. This sometimes takes the form of permanents like specific tattoos, piercings and other forms of body modifications, sometimes extreme in nature.

Diet

A dormant slemmering sleeping in a garbage dump for example is able to sustain himself many times over simply on the food people throw away. The fact that a slemmering can survive healthy within such a condition is however not an excuse to actually do so. Most slemmering are too proud to live in such dangerous conditions. However the fact that they can is a comforting thought to any slemmering.

Art, Music, Literature

Slemmering absolutely love entertainment. Quality of life is a high must for most Slemmering and their lust for entertainment is usually enough to lure them from slumber and dormant state even without the promise of food. For all their love for the Arts, slemmering performers are rare, the discipline to learn the skills necessary to create good art, music or stories is usually far above the discipline actually possessed by the slemmering.

The troll race has been almost the same from start to finish. Not even the great spiritual revolution changed much. (they simply started seeing some of the gods as their "ancestors" and all seemed well). They started out as hunters, and they are so still. Hunting is the only thing they really need and they make sure they are good at it, this often makes the troll a sneaky sort. Trolls where always in tribes, as long as anyone can remember.

society was stratified from the very beginning. Together with the original disciples and herself the Caste system was designed and changed little over time. Two large changes where introduced over time, parallel to numerous smaller adjustments.

The two large changes where the addition of the military caste, in response to aggressions with other races, and the adjustments that where made when the elf society merged with the society. The later change being very recent.

The old elf kingdom ( kingdom) was recently fused with the old fae kingdom ( kingdom) into the new kingdom as a response to the alliance, the merger has been a messy one with the elves seeing the outwardly expressive and emotional unstable fae as invasive to their tranquil culture.

Eons ago, the founded their Sindhé kingdom in what is now known as the Western parts of Asgard. Nowadays only the oldest of the fae can tell first hand of these long-passed days, for the passing of centuries and the Asgardian Unification made due to many of the traditions that defined the Sindhé.

It was a culture divided in four different courts, each named after the seasons of the year. Ideally each Court held power only temporarily, with each Lord or Lady ruling during their season and then passing on the leadership to the next Court. In practice, however, the turning over of power hasn't always gone as smooth as intended.

These courts were each closely tied to nature and held their appropriate role in fae society, much like the Caste System which later evolved and rooted itself in the Asgardian Kingdom. It is said that some feral tribes still cling to these ancient traditions.

Behaviour And Motivation

The are a creative and expressive people. They try to live their life to the fullest, making every day of their long lives count. The fae are passionate about the things they enjoy, but often find it hard to do those things they do not care much for. This is a common cause for conflict between the elves and the fae.

Living And Housing

Many Fae treat Asgard as if it was one enormous garden. However instead of using fertilizer, the fae use their magical gift to shape the landscape of Asgard to a place that is easy for them to live in. Unlike the elves who tend to stick to the forests. The fae prefer the grassy regions of Asgard. Their they plant large gardens where everything will grow with exceptional zest. It takes much time to grow these gardens, but with an average life span of 350 years, the fae have plenty of time.

Most things Fae do is either done with the assistance of magic, or entirely through magic. This includes the farms, towns and cities they build. A two story building might take years to make. But once it is finished it will last for centuries, and it is always beautifully decorated. There are no plain surfaces anywhere in the home of a fae.

Language

Most Fae prefer to speak (English). Though this language developed some unique phrases and terminology, it is remarkable how true it stayed to its ancient form which the Gnomes thought them. Both Fae and Elves prefer speaking it on both the Vortex and on Heimr, even in situations that would favour them otherwise. Their written language is know as Asgardian Runes or Feyfont which, though seemingly complex, is a highly effective syntax.

All Fae children are taught the native Fae language, as a result, this is the most spoken language of the Fae people. The language is regarded as the most beautiful language of Heimr. Due to its natural melody, the normal spoken word is often confused with singing. In addition to this, almost all fae are thought the Northern Trade language, which they use to communicate with the elves and the other Heimrian races.

Art

Many of the greatest artists and writers on Heimr are fae. There is even a large demand for Fae art in Southern Heimr, though nobody there would ever publicly acknowledge having or buying such art. The Fae spend a lot of time creating art, composing songs and dance.

Contracts

One remnant of this old structure which is still very much alive today, is the practice of Contracts. These are most commonly used in the practice of Adoption within a higher Family or Castre. For example, a fae might let his family member be adopted by a prominent family in favour for his daughter's virginity or one-tenth of his yearly production of grain. Either bound by word or a small magical ritual, the contract is a socially accepted method of business. One of the Scribe's Caste roles is the remembrance of these multitude of contracts.

Contracts with other species are uncommon, but not unheard of. Slavery, for instance, is seen as a contract rather than forced labour.

Demography

Most fae live within sophisticated cities and settlements, though there are some who prefer the forests over any modern habitat. These so-called feral fae often cling to a more traditional life, forsaking the set Asgardian social structure and thus becoming casteless.

Cultural appearance

Fae often wear cloths of their own design and making. Because of this there is not really any common style of clothing. Often these cloths are colourful and extensively decorated.

Hair And Hair Style

Facial hair is uncommon within the higher castes of fae en elf society. Warriors, who tend to lead a rougher lifestyle, sometimes grow and carefully groom their beards and moustaches. Men from higher castes who enjoyed a military education or wish to appear more rugged, may decide to grow a beard as well. Fae facial and body-hair tends to grow much slower than that of their human or orc counterparts, so for a fae or elves this is usually a committed choice.
