Also called "flying wolves". These large birds (about twenty centimetre of wingspan) attack humanoid creatures in packs, like wolfs they try to surround the lonely prey before swooping down to strike one by one. The prey never knows who will strike next and can't watch all his sides. The Basinder always know who attacks next though. Some scholars have tried to figure out how the Basinder commune with each other, but all have failed.
The Basinder is a symbol of, freedom trough working together, within Midgard and is featured on the Midgardian national symbol.
