"Truth" refers to three entities: 1. The lorekeepers guild. 2. The newspaper produced by the guild. 3. The library containing all the information gathered by the lorekeepers guild.
The newspaper
Truth is a newspaper written by the lorekeepers and sold within the boundaries of Midgard at at some rare places outside of Midgard.
Production
Local lorekeepers gathers news and make handwritten reports about it. Than those reports are gathered into a small booklet together with news that comes from the province headquarters; copied (either by hand, or with the help of magic) and than sold to the local population. If news is deemed important enough it is send up to the province headquarters who will distribute it to the other local newspapers in the province.
The newspaper is not printed consistently. The newspaper is only sold when there is actual news, thus on some days there is no newspaper; on other days, the newspaper might be several pages large. Most local newspapers pool all the news into weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly papers.
News in this paper is divided into several sections:
Local news
Local news is only printed in the local variant of the newspaper and not send up to the province headquarters. It is however eventually send to the library of Truth in a yearly report.
Province news
Something more noteworthy is printed in the local newspaper and than send up to the province headquarters who will send it to all the other local newspapers in the province.
Global news
If news is even more noteworthy it is send up to the library for distribution to all the province headquarters who will distribute it to all the local newspapers.
Scientific news
News of a scientific nature is not printed in the local newspapers but can be bought in yearly reports at most of the local news vendors.
Library
The library of Truth contains all the knowledge known to the lorekeepers. it contains the news, but also records other things.
