Lineage of Talor

Talor, his son Ranimsul, and their grandson Tahordyn form one of the five lineages of Heimrian gods . The others are four are the lineages of Danu , Gataur , Januri and Ratish .

Talor

Main article: Talor

Talor, the wise son of the Air. Keeper of Truth. Designer of all the gods. He invented the gods so Danu could give birth to them. He is generally direct and non-cryptic and gets arrogant when mad.

Ranimsul

Main article: Ranimsul

Ranimsul is the god of caution, diplomacy and resolve. Ranimsul, the sneak, is so cautious, that most priest think Ranimsul is not his true name. Some priests just call him "The sneak" because of this. He is married to Uastra . Although Uastra loves Ranimsul dearly, Ranimsul doesn't return her love (this Uastra doesn't know). He however doesn't breaks his marriage because Uastra's servitars protect his beloved Dryad. Ranimsul is careful to react, and will always attempt to negotiate his way out of difficult situations. When provoked he jumps from his hiding place and performs a few hasty interventions before suddenly disappearing, not re-emerging for days.

Tahordyn

Main article: Tahordyn

Tahordyn is the goddess of protection, charity and temperance. She was forbidden to split the feyfolk , and has not created a race of her own. Tahordyn, goddess of the the weak, the feeble, the slaves and the failures. The philosophy of Tahordyn is the opposite of the basis of Midgard politics and the "might is right" attitude of the shanata. It teaches that all persons are born equal, and that people should be treated as such. If people are weak, they are born weak and natural selection will try to root them out. Therefore we should help these poor souls and lift their spirit up so they can carry life once again. Tahordyn spends almost all her time protecting the weaker. She directly and instantly saves people from terrible fates. Tahordyn actively hates the strong and elite, but never destroys them; she claims their arrogance will do the work for her.

Deity Worship

The most common form of worship in Heimr is deity worship. By worshipping a god that god is given strength, which they need to protect their worshippers from the other gods. Worship is therefore considered a civil duty by many Heimrians. Worship is almost always mediated by priests. It is the job of the priests on Heimr to ensure that their followers pray regularly, and that the prayers as well as the divine energy that is released during prayer gets delivered to their god. Heimrians will most commonly worship the ancestral god of their own race, e.g. Wana was the first ogre so she is worshipped by ogres, even though the ogres were created by Ratish.
