Deity Worship
Main article: Deity worship
The most common form of worship in Heimr is deity worship. By worshipping a god that god is given strength, which they need to protect their worshippers from the other gods. Worship is therefore considered a civil duty by many Heimrians. Worship is almost always mediated by priests. It is the job of the priests on Heimr to ensure that their followers pray regularly, and that the prayers as well as the divine energy that is released during prayer gets delivered to their god. Heimrians will most commonly worship the ancestral god of their own race, e.g. Wana was the first ogre so she is worshipped by ogres, even though the ogres were created by Ratish.
